What is a CSA?

A CSA, community supported agriculture, is a way for the local community to invest in our farm, and the local food system, by pre-ordering a share of the harvest. Members then receive a share each week with the in-season vegetables as they ripen. Becoming a member allows you to really get to know your farmers, support your local food economy, increase your access to fresh food, and support sustainable and responsible growing methods. This model also helps the farmers because the early season incomes allows for inputs when need is greatest.

  • Our CSA season runs from  June 21st to November 1st  (20 weeks)
  • Standard Shares are $600 ($30/week)  -- feeds a family of 4 or more
  • Family Shares are $1,100 ($55/week) -- feeds an average of 2 people
  • Egg shares are $100 ($5/week)
  • Each weekly share includes 6 to 8 varieties of fresh, seasonal produce and herbs.
  • Some items will be aggregated from other local farms with sustainable farming practice
  • Pickups are Friday from 3-7pm @ Whitehall Farm’s Market, 12523 Popes Head Rd. Clifton -- we will do our best to hold your share through the weekend, but some items like greens will likely wilt
  • An email will be sent out every Thursday with an a projected produce list and recipe ideas

PLEASE NOTE: You might want to consider shopping at our market store instead of joining our CSA program if any of the following apply to you.

  • You will be gone for more than 3 weeks in a season
  • You have allergies to several produce items
  • You are selective about the types of produce you enjoy eating
  • You don't have enough time for home food preparation 4-5 days per week
